While I cannot state any particular memories since I was just a little girl when my uncle, Edward William Lapcyznski, was in the Navy. I do have this picture of him I would like to have included in the proposed book "Gone But Not Forgotten".
Uncle Eddie was one who did not survive the sinking of the USS Indianapolis. He served in the Second Division as a Seaman First Class and was in the Navy at least from 1942 through the sinking of the ship. Thank you for the time and effort you have put into honoring the many brave people who should not be forgotten
